I need some educational apps which can help me with my studies

TEDx Talks and TED-Ed (free): TEDx Talks events are organized by passionate individuals who seek to uncover new ideas and to share the latest research in their local areas that spark conversations in their communities. Udemy is a “learn on demand” website and app with hundreds of courses. You have to pay for the courses.

Khan Academy provides free online courses: math, science, computing, arts, computing, language, economy.

Coursera (free and paid): offers courses and certifications. It is free, if you don’t want to receive any certificate at the end of the courses. Courses include just about anything you could want to learn, ranging from AI, Neural Learning, and computer science in general over business degrees all the way to humanities and social studies. There's even a section dedicated to personal development, and there are many smaller, more compact courses that aren't as intense as actual college classes, like photography basics or an introduction to Android app development.

Applications recommended by upper year students:

Mega: provides user-controlled encrypted cloud storage and chat through standard web browsers, together with dedicated apps for mobile devices. End-to-end user-encrypted Mega video chat allows  total privacy, and has been available through browser since 2016. It has been extended to our mobile app, with chat history accessible across multiple devices. Users can also easily add files to a chat from their Mega cloud drive.
Mega offers a generous 50 GB free storage for all registered users with bonus achievements, and offers paid plans with much higher limits.

Toogl (free): time tracker

Studytracker

Dropbox (free): document sharing application

myHomework Student Planner (free): myHomework is a digital student planner that lets you track your classes, homework, tests and projects so you never forget an assignment again.

Penultimate (free): a handwriting app made by EverNote, allowing users to write with a digital pen and upload the work to any device.

Evernote app (free): The app's biggest selling point is the ability to sync your notes across all devices, meaning you can type on your tablet and then access all your lecture notes on your laptop when it's essay time. Once they're saved, you can search for any word that appears in the text.

Soundnote app (free): as you're taking notes, Soundnote is busy recording whatever is being said around you (not in a creepy way) and syncing the two. Once you're done, you can simply tap a word and it will take you to that point in the recording!

Office lens (free): If you take a picture of something from a certain an angle, the app will align and edit the image to appear as though it's directly in front of you. If you're ok with this kind of black magic, Office Lens is ideal for situations when you've been cast to the edge of the room.

StudyBlue (free): Allows users to upload class study materials, create electronic flashcards to study and share with others, and practice quizzes.

GoConqr (free): Access great learning resources like Mind Maps, Flashcards, Quizzes, Slides and Notes, or use the GoConqr app for social learning and connect and collaborate with friends, classmates and learners in Groups.
Quizlet (free): flashcards, games, studytools

Kahoot (free): game-based learning platform

Duolingo (free): language learning app for Hungarian language too

Could you help me with your advices

We collected from upper year students a couple of advices:

  1. Start studying from the first day of the university.
  2. Ask the upper year students, which exams are the most important, and your focus should be on them.
  3. Ask which are those exams, from which if you fail, you can't continue the following semester.
  4. Take notes during the lessons.
  5. Live close to the university.
  6. Failing is normal, don't let it discourage you. (Try again. Fail again. Fail better )
  7. Get your student ID card and residence permit as soon as possibile.
  8. Make flashcards from your notes.
  9. Be organized from the beginning.
  10. Make as many friends as you can. Use all the interfaces and possibilities to meet them and ask their contact details for the future.
  11. Ask for the dropbox and drive links of the materials from upper year students.
